About the Author

John Holden, Montana native and rancher, has a variety of experience and interests.  He and his family have raised and sold registered cattle across the country for more than fifty years.  While at Montana State, Bozeman, he received a Master's degree in Agronomy and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.  he served two years of active duty as an officer in the Army.  He and his wife, Linda, have raised two sons and two daughters.  They have five grandchildren.  As State Representative, he served in the 56th Montana Legislature.  This capped a lifetime of leadership in many organizations.  John enjoys Montana history, sharing his knowledge and spinning a fine tale.
