Linda Holden is keeping politics in the family.  When her husband, Representative John Holden, decided not to seek re-election as the State Representative for House District 86 due to business interests, his wife decided she would. On Monday, Jan.24, Linda Holden filed as a Republican candidate for the position. House District 86 includes southern Glacier County and the western two-thirds of Pondera County. Holden describes herself as a "fiscal conservative who is pro-family, agriculture, business, and free enterprise."  Holden is a Montana native and has lived in Pondera County for 35 years.  Together with her husband, the Holdens own Westwind Ranch, which is located eight miles west of Valier.  Holden has taught private piano and voice in this area for more than three decades.  Currently, she is serving as the state president of the Montana State Music Teachers Association.
